Plot:
The story follows Alok Goyal, a journalist, who is rescued in a jungle by a mysterious woman named Tadaka.
Tadaka belongs to a community of "Betals" (a kind of demihuman/vampiric creature) who have sworn off drinking human blood after witnessing the horrors of the 1947 Partition.
Alok is later mortally wounded, and Tadaka saves him by injecting her powers into his blood, turning him into a Betal himself.
The main conflict arises from Yakshasan, the imprisoned former leader or "Thamma" of the Betals, who opposes the ban on human blood. Alok must learn to embrace his new form to fight Yakshasan and save humanity.
